100 Word Challenge

In this activity we had to write exactly 100 words. This made it tricky because I wrote too many words and had to make it a bit simpler. The point of this activity was to try not to use useless words to make exactly 100 words. My next steps are to do 100 words but to make it more interesting.

Art ~ Flag

    My Reflection

In our class for the art exhibition we made flags. We were making positive and negative spaces. We put tape on the flags to make squares and rectangles, then we made patterns on them, then we started to dye. Afterwards we took the tape off. I chose to dye my flag like this cause I thought it would look really cool and simple.
I found this activity a bit hard because in the beginning it was hard to decide what                                                                                                 pattern I wanted to put on my flag.
My next steps are to try make my art                                                                               work more neater

Reading ~ Inference

My Reflection
In our class we are learning about inference. Inference is when the writer
doesn't tell you something and you have to use your own skills to work it out.
I found this task a bit hard because some information was really hard to find.
My next steps are to practice more inference activities so I can get really good at it.

Measuring Angles

In maths I have been working on Geometry - measuring Angles.

I have done a Hexagon matching puzzle, Name angle measuring art, Protractor golf, and a beginners measuring angles activity.

This is a photo of my name angle art.  For this piece of work I had to write my names using a ruler, and using straight lines.

Then we had to measure the all the angles in our name using protractors.

I found this Easy as soon as I understood how to measure angles using the protractor.

Next time I could make my letter width the same.

Understanding Mixed and Improper Fractions

Monday 17 September 2018

At year 6 level we should have a good understanding of fractions.
So Mrs Graham told us to write a slide show about Mixed and improper fractions.
We had to explain so that a year 4 person could understand it.
We could work in buddies if we wanted to and I did, my buddy was Parniha.
In one slide we got stuck in the slide " mixed fraction" but we got through it.
I found this activity challenging and fun.
Do you have a good understanding of fractions?

The Heart Faced Dog

Tuesday the 4th of September 2018

Mrs Graham decided that we had work better with other people so she said that me and Michael had to be buddies.

We did an activity. The activity was that we had to choose who was A and who was B. I chose A and Michael chose B. Person B had to draw exactly what I said.

This was the picture that I was giving instructions to:

And this was what he drew:

It was really close but there were some mistakes. The things that went wrong was that I forgot to tell him to color in the nose. The ears also went wrong because I didn't know what shape they were so it was really confusing. The heart wasn't fat enough.

I think that I
