My Persuasive Speech - Why We Should Stop Eating Junk food

My Reflection: I was learning to write, plan and present a persuasive speech. My success criteria were: - I have an introduction, conclusion, and three paragraphs each giving a reason to support my main argument - each of my paragraphs are at least three sentences long - I have researched and included facts to back up my argument - I speak loudly and clearly to my audience - my speech is between 2 and 3 minutes long I think I achieved my success criteria because I did a intro, reson 1, 2, and 3, and a conclusion. Next time I write or present a speech I will need to work on not being nervous I think I did well at my introduction.

Stuart Little Character Analysis

My Reflection
I.a.l.t relate to the characters in the text to understand their purpose.

In this activity I had to describe and explain character traits with examples from the text. My success criteria for this activity were: I am able to talk about characters and their behaviors I am able able to describe and explain character traits with examples from the text I can use relationship diagrams to show how characters relate and interact with one another I think I achieved this activity because I used exampled from the text and wrote what Stuart little did. My next steps in Reading are to write some more words so its more interesting.

In this activity I had to fill in the blanks. I think I achieved this activity this activity because I know how to tell time. My next steps in learning time are to work faster.

I have been learning to find and summarise information in non-fiction texts by skimming and scanning.
In this activity I had to search for the questions then type them down in the correct box.
I found this easy because I just needed to google search it.
My next steps are to spend more time on this piece of work.

The Creepy Nightmare

BOOM ,CRASH I was finding my glittering  tiara, then suddenly out of nowhere a book appeared, it's tittle was TIARA. I opened the book and in that book it wrote: 

At the tallest mountain,

 At the tallest house,

 There is something shiny

 That will brighten your eyes!

When I saw that I quickly and quietly readied my bag and tip toed like a mouse without letting my mum see, I went out the door, over big thick mountain, and over  the tallest house I saw...                 
Ahhhhhhh what was that I could feel! IT'S a ghost! suddenly I woke up, it scared me so badly!

My Reflection I was learning to use parts of speech to add interest and detail to my writing. I found this easy because I already have the story in my mind. In this activity I had to write a story with only 100 words. My next steps in my writing are to write it quicker.

Term 2 Week 7 Dear Dairy

A while ago at  school we were learning about matter, the year 4 teachers, students and parents were here. We were going to different classes to do different activity. Room 15 was doing the lava lamps, room 14 was doing the gloop, room 13 was doing the egg experiments, room 12 was doing the feely bags and at the auditorium was a video about matter. my teacher said we have to walk around the school quietly and quickly.

                                          We did first we drawed a picture in our books then miss Massey gave us a big                                            piece of paper and copied the same thing we did in our book then we used                                                 sharpy to go over our work,  after that we used pastel and coloured the picture                                           carefully.

100 word challenge-the key...

I was walking on grass when I tripped over, something super sparkling. I picked it up it was a key, but the moment I picked it up, it shimmered so brightly that I had to close my eyes! Then I had to show my mum, but on the way home, a door appeared in front of me. Then some words came out on a piece of paper, it said, come in there's something very cool. I would normally not go in , but I really like cool stuff, so I went in. Then I was lost! I should not listen to that. so annoying ...

Welcome to my year 4 learning blog. This year I am in room  15 and my teacher is Miss Massey. I enjoy playing with my friends. This year I am looking forward to having lots of friends. I hope you will enjoy my blog and leave lots of feedback.
